I hold a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and have extensive training in attachment theory, ADHD treatment, anxiety treatment, emotionally focused couples therapy, and EMDR, providing a solid foundation for guiding clients towards healing and growth.

What therapeutic approaches do you use?

I draw from systems theory and a trauma-informed humanistic attachment approach to help individuals, couples, and families cultivate insight, self-compassion, and wisdom to tackle life’s challenges. I incorporate techniques from emotionally focused approaches, mindfulness, somatic therapy, positive psychology, dialectical behavioral therapy, and sand tray. I have also begun to incorporate elements of Geek Therapy.

What issues or conditions do you specialize in treating?

I specialize in treating attachment issues, relationship difficulties within couples or families, ADHD, parenting, postpartum concerns, co-parenting, trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and grief.

Session length depends upon the format of therapy in order to allow for meaningful exploration and healing. A typical therapy session for an individual will be 53 to 60 minutes. A typical session for couples and family sessions will be 90 minutes.

Do you offer teletherapy or virtual sessions?

Yes, teletherapy is offered through a HIPAA compliant version of Zoom, providing the flexibility and convenience of virtual therapy sessions for clients. You will receive a link for your telehealth session in your appointment reminder email. It is important that you only access telehealth services from a private and secure location. No un-authorized people may be in the room with the client(s) during a telehealth session.

Fees are based on an hourly rate and vary related to the type of service provided. You may find a list of our fees here.

We are credentialed through Alma with most United, Cigna, and Aetna commercial policies. You can find the plans Alma includes here.

How do I schedule an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, there are multiple options. You may reach out to us directly via our direct phone line, email, or by completing the contact form. We have also conveniently placed buttons at the top of each page that may be utilized to easily schedule through the Alma platform.

What can I expect during the first therapy session?

During the first therapy session, known formally as an intake session, we will take the time to get to know each other and discuss your goals and challenges, helping to set the foundation for a collaborative therapeutic journey. For couples and family sessions, I utilize a longer intake process, where all family or couple members are seen together for the first session and openly discuss concerns and obstacles. I will then schedule individual sessions with each member of the couple or family to get to understand each person, their background, and their perspective in a safe, non-judgmental space. In addition, during the first session, we will discuss my approach, answer any questions you have, and I will begin to assess for diagnoses and formulate a treatment plan to assist you in overcoming your challenges and reaching your goals.
